Доцент Наум Кајчев предава нова и современа балканска историја на Софискиот универзитет „Св. Климент Охридски “. Тој е автор на книгите Македонија, посакувана: армијата, училиштето и изградбата на нацијата во Србија и Бугарија (1878-1912) и Илирија од Варна до Вилах: хрватската национална преродба, Србите и Бугарите (до 1848 година). Тој е и заменик претседател на заедничката комисија за историски и образовни прашања меѓу Бугарија и Северна Македонија.

No one today has exclusivity over the state of Prince Boris the Baptizer and St. Clement of Ohrid; of Tsar Simeon and St. Naum of Ohrid; of Tsar Samuil and John of Debar and their traditions that are partly preserved by the Byzantine emperor Basil II.
