Dane Taleski received his PhD in Political Science from the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest. He co-authored two books on the EU integration process and regional co-operation. His works have been published in Democratization, Ethnopolitics, Suedosteuropa and New Balkan Politics, and as chapters in several books. In 2014, he received the Civil Society Scholar Award from the New York Open Society Institute. Since October 2015, he has been a visiting researcher at the Center for Southeast European Studies at the University of Graz, and since March 2016, he has been a researcher at the Center for Advanced Study in Southeast Europe at the University of Rijeka.
